1. Health
Service : The institute has appointed a visiting Medical
Officer, Medical aid and available to all students of the Institute as and
when required on payment. Besides, It is compulsory for each student on
the rolls of the Institute to present himself for a medical examination
before the Institute Medical Officer for periodical checkup on such date
as may be fixed by the Medical Officer. Cases which deserve special
attention will be referred by the Institute Medical Officer to
specialists. Medicines have to be purchased by the students. Students are
advised not to seek treatment from unregistered medical medical
practitioners.
2. Tutor Guardian System : The Tutor Guardian
System operates in the institute to benefit all the students. Under the
system 12 to 15 students are placed under. The case of each member of
teaching staff who acts as tutor guardian for these students and in
addition looks after their needs and difficulties. The tutor guardian
meets the students individually and in groups as frequently as possible
and assists them in every manner. By this, the institute aims to develop
the qualities of good citizenship in alumni. The attendance of the student
in the meetings called by their tutor guardian is compulsory.
3. Students
Council : The students council acts as a pivot around
which the extra curricular activities of the institute revolve and play a
significant role in the institute life of the students. The students
council service as an important adjunct to course work also. Since it
sponsors lectures by eminent engineers. debate contests, general knowledge
tests, essay competitions and various other programmes and in general
stimulates interest in the diverse spheres of students lift including
games and sports. It provides ample opportunities for the students to
develop their faculties in fine arts by conducting music contest,
dramatic, etc. This encourages emotional integration amongst students to a
very great extent. Main aims and objectives of the Student's council as
mentioned in the Barkatullah University ordinance are as follows : a) To
promote discipilined corporate, intellectual, civic and cultural life
amongst students. b) To foster activities to bring out the creative
talents of the students. c) To promote the study and discussion of
subjects of nation and international importance. d) To encourage amongst
students awareness of the responsibilities of an individual in a
democratic society. e) To promote social service activities. With the idea
of keeping the students informed about the latest development in their
fields of study, technical societies such as the following are also
encouraged to function under the students council. a) Mechanical
Engineering Society. b) Electronics Engineering Society. c) Computer
Science and Engineering Society. d) Pharmaceutical Society. Club for
exclusive sports/arts etc. also under the students council are formed like
Badminton Club, Music Club etc. or societies like Students co-operative
Society etc.
4. Co-operative Store : A co-operative store has
been set-up for the benefit of the students to provide them with books,
stationery, hosiery and toilet articles at moderate rates. Every students
in expected to provide himself with the college blazer, the cloth for
which may be made available at the Co-operative Store at a moderate
cost.
5. Banking and
Postal Facilities : These are available close by a
Mandideep, students are advised to have saving account either at the Bank
or at the post office. They should not kkep much cash with them in the
hostel.
6. Identity card : Student are issued identity
cards on payment of prescribed amount. The student must carry identity
cards on thier person all the time in the institute and in the town. The
cards have to be produces on demand by any member of the staff. The
identity Cards should be returned to the office when the students ffinally
leave the institute.
